Yesterday I decided to update my test server from ubuntu 8.10 development branch, I can't remember when was last update, but is had linux 2.6.27-5-generic.
After succesful update I logged on as usual, using Xming through XDMCP. And it appears that eclipse and firefox became unusable - it takes up to 5 seconds to draw drop down menu or change window. But there's no slow down in page rendering and scrolling.
I even performed clean install in vmware, and it was slow as well.
I don't have slightest idea in which category to post bug report.
Or maybe I can somehow fix it myself.
