S10 Netbook USB Install

Hello All,

I'm attempting to install Intrepid Ibex onto my Lenovo S10 netbook. I have booted up on my desktop pc with the liveCD, which I then use to make my USB stick bootable. I then plug the USB stick into my netbook, and when it boots up all I see is a black screen with a blinking underscore. Can anybody offer any advice? Thanks, it's much appreciated.

Try:
sudo startxor one of these commands to start the gui
sudo /etc/init.d/gdm start
sudo xinit

I don't believe it let's me type anything, so I cannot type a command to run. Is there perhaps a BIOS setting I'm supposed to enable?

After reading on this topic for a couple days now, I think that there is a problem with my flash drive. Particularly, there is a problem with its MBR. My question is: how do I fix the MBR and make the flash drive bootable?

Is there anything else it might be?

Have you tried unetbootin?
