Dual boot with raid

Hi I just got a new laptop, it has vista pre-installed and I was looking to dual boot. The hdds are raid so I have to use the alternative cd and I am not sure how to dual boot

Sorry for double Posting I just realized i didn't eplain this very well:

I have a Sony vaio VGN-AR71M;
Vista Premium
Hdd Raid 400GB

My last laptop was a VGN-AR21S almost the same but had windows media centre installed and smaller HDD's. I tried to install it on that laptop and after a lot of effort manage to delete my windows. For the Media Centre i had a CD however to fix this but for Vista I do not. This is why i am asking this question. The Normal CD has an easy to follow dual boot option, but on the alternative CD its not so clear i was woundering if any one had any experience using it and how to dual boot.

I am going to have a go my self if i am successful i will post my results
