I have the same problem.

I WANT to run Screenlets in root mode, but its simply dont run!
Its give-me the Warnning: Important! You are running this application as root user, almost all functionality is disabled. You can use this to install screenlets into the system-wide path.

Someone can halp?

Thanks!

Why on earth are you logged into desktop as root? That's pretty much the worst thing possible to do on Linux if you care even a bit about your security (and no, please don't say that it's your own computer and you are only one using it, if it's connected to Internet this is not the case!).
