Hi

When booting Ubuntu into the GDM login manager the mouse pointer is centered which makes GDM to show an ugly tooltip text in the middle of the screen on every boot.

Even though this feature can be useful for new users, it is very annoying and breaks a nice GDM theme.

So is there a way to disable this?

Thanks

[sorry, ignore]

EDIT: Perhaps try editing the theme or recompiling gdm if nobody comes up with anything. GNOME apps are legendary for zero documentation and very bad command line parameter support.

Thanks, editing the theme it is.
Solved by moving password box off center.

i'd like to know how too... i thought i'd found the right section, but it was the box size and not the positioning
