Every few hours on my Windows PC, a notification pops up that says a cable has been unplugged, then immediately after it goes away and seemingly reconnects. That process repeats again and remains connected. However, I can't access any external sites. After a power cycle of my router, the problem is fine for a few hours and then will repeat the loss of connection. I am concerned because this did not occur until I set up my server. Any help on this issue is much appreciated!

I'm assuming by "server" you mean an Ubuntu machine on your LAN. Is there any chance you assigned the same IP address to the server as the one being used by your Windows box? That will cause issues, and I've seen it cause exactly the problem you're seeing in the past.

They are both set statically.
