Problems with objects in panel

Hello there, since today I'm having some problem with programs that are supposed to maintain an icon at the panel when the process is sleeping (like Skype, aMSN or other; so when you close them the icon keeps visible at the panel). The fact is that now, if I close the program I don't get that icon, but if check it on the system monitor the process is open and sleeping.

How to fix again the icons for sleeping processes?

Do you mean the system tray that was on the top right of the screen? If so, just right click on some free space in the panel and go to "Add to panel". Look through the list to find "Notification Area" and click add. You can move it by clicking and dragging the left hand edge of it.
