Hey all,

I'm setting up a demo machine for work and have a few choices for motherboards. I'm going with an Intel Core I7 920 to do some software performance evaluations with the new CPU. Here are my mobo choices:

ASUS P6T Deluxe
Intel DX58SO
ASUS P6T6 WS Revolution
ASUS Rampage 2

All boards use the same iX58 chipset. I'm posting this to gather peoples' experience with installing 8.10 (or any other version for that matter) of Ubuntu. Problems? Successes?

Has anyone gotten a SAS HDD to work with any of these setups?

Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Hi meatbiscuit,

As of Ubuntu 9.04 Alpha 4 it still doesn't recognize the SAS drive on the Asus P6T Deluxe during install. Other than that Ubuntu 8.10 has worked perfectly since December on a SATA install.

Be Well!
