Hi guys,

Im looking for a way to get my scanner to work... So far searching for the threads, I found people who referred to this SANE project which might work:

http://www.sane-project.org/man/sane-sm3600.5.html and
http://www.sane-project.org/man/sane-sm3840.5.html

I want to give these drivers here a shot but I dont know what to do with the information on the website. Do I type in an apt-get command or should I download the links there then what do I do after downloading them? Im sorry, the information here gives me much hope, but I really don't understand what to do with it.

How do I make the info on these websites useful? What commands should I use to install them?

Can I uninstall any of them after installation if it doesnt work?

Thank you so much.

Check the menus Applications, Graphics, for an entry called Xsane Image Scanner.
