Looking at building a ubuntu box with a mirrored raid array setup for data protection. Was thinking of installing the server edtion.Box will have atleast 3 tb sata drives configured in a mirrored raid array setup. I would like to have my 3 computers nightly backup there home directory to this new box.The raid setup will be hardware based. Which type of raid setup is better? Also is the server edition good for this type of box?
