So I am currently taking the step from windows to linux (Seen demo's and what not and I want to convert!)
However when I boot from the ubuntu 8.10 cd to install it just jumps straight into terminal.
This is when I chose to install or try and run the livecd.
I try the startx command but all I get is fatal error, no screens found. I assume this is something to do with the graphics card inside? (Sorry, newbie here)
It's running an ATI HD2400, is this a problem? Am I doomed to continue running windows?
