i have a dell inspiron b120 with xp on it. every time i try to boot Ubuntu it starts then screen goes blank. no sound or anything. thank u in advanced

Try 'Safe Graphics Mode' if you are referring to the Live CD. If that doesn't work; install with the Alternate CD.

yes it is live cd. how do safe grafics mode?
