How much ram?

Hi, Just a quick question to see if anyone knows if i upgrade my machines ram, what is best, 2gb in dual channel(2x1gb chips), or (just 3x1gb chips), because i think you need pairs to run dual channel mode. Any help would be appreciated, Thankyou

I think the whole gig you would add would offset the benefit of duel channel but im not too sure

Imho I would just install the 2x1Gb and later you have room for 2 more ;)
