Hey all.

So I have a system here with Intrepid and a mobo with a bad drive controller. So, I found a PCI card that seems like it will do the job. Its a VIA VT6410 card.

Now I can see the card in the HAL (using a Device Manager App) but the DVD drives are not showing up in the O/S.. That says no driver/bad driver to me..

So my question is, Is there a way to rig this thing to recognize the DVD roms and for it to just work? I don't need RAID!, I just need a straight-up IDE connection.

Can ANYONE help me? I am a "windows" person, and Linux is not my thing so to speak.

Thanks,

Andrew
