hi,

I got a fully standard installation of ubuntu, so with gnome and all standard stuff.

All i wanted extra was mij conky.
It works, thats not the problem, but windows keep hiding it wich is not what i want.

What i want: my conky bar (wich is about 22 high) as a sort of panel on the bottom of my screen (got my gnome pannel on top).

I'v tryed to put an extra empty pannel of gnome in and then tryed to put conky over that.... but i cant seem to modify the layer in wich a probram runs.

I dont think the problem will be in my conkyrc becouse what i'm trying to do is telling gnome to put concky on his top layer.

hope somebody has an idea.

grtz

P.S.: if there would be a way to tell gnome "from now on, when you maximise a window, you will only make it THIS big" that would be a solution too i think.
