View Full Version : [ubuntu] avast : memory allocation error pls help!!

i 've installed avast and type avast in the terminal then i wrote my serial
but an error accured it sasy avast: memory allocation error
is it a fatal error that cannot be fixed!

Is this Avast Anti-Virus?

Simple fix: Uninstall avast. You don't need it or any other antivirus software.

I think Cagdas is trying to say why doesn't Linux require any anti-virus software.
For one it is far more secure than Windows & secondly it is harder to get a virus to run under Linux & no one seems to write them for Linux.
This only my opinion & I could be wrong.
