I am trying to install Inbuntu because Fedora failed. I boot Inbuntu off of the usb cdrom drive it gets to the install menu I choose install, then it gets the desktop, because the wallpaper is different shades of brown. The mouse cursor is an "X" and i can move it. But nothing else happens i sat and watched for 60mins today it did nothing. Fedora would not even get this far.

My workstation Specs are:
Dell GX-280
2.50 ghz
4gigs of memory
4 hdd:
2 Seagate 80 Sata Drives "C" and "D"(no partition)
2 Fujitsu SCSI 80 gig drives as 147gig drive in a raid config.
Adaptec 29320 SCSI card
Nvidia 8400 GS Dual monitor video card
USB Logitech Cordless Keyboard
USB Wired mouse
Creative SB Live
2 Planer 19 inch flat panel monitors
Broadcom onboard Nic
USB "Plextor PX-708A" DVD writer

The PC has Windows Xp professional loaded on sata drive and i wanted to linux on the other sata drive. Until i understand linux more.

Reboot with the LiveCD. Then at the initial screen, press F4 and choose the safe graphic mode. Now, see if it works.

Otherwise, the alternate CD is another option.

Yes , i just figured that and i finally got Unbuntu installed. Now my problem is getting my pc to dual boot, between Windows xp and unbuntu till i am comfortable with Unbuntu to use here at work.
