I want "gnome-settings-daemon" starts automatically when I use e17.
How can I do that?
Thanks

Settings > Settings Panel > Apps > New Application
Name the application what you want, give it the command gnome-settings-daemon
Settings > Settings Panel > Apps > Startup Applications
Select your freshly made gnome-settings-daemon application.

I've been using E17 for years. Never had to launch gnome-settings-daemon. What's the point ?

There are some functions to which you would have to edit config files. If you don't want to, use GNOME's tools. ;)

Well, when I use e17, the fonts are too big. Also, Thunar has not the appropriate theme (actually, the icons look like grey color.
Maybe there is another solution instead to use gnome-settings-dameon?
