Hi,

I am trying to install LUK (Linux Unified Kernel) to my Ubuntu 8.10. Its a clean reinstall (ie nothing but the basic OS is on the notebook right now).

I am having issues with trying to patch LUK to my current Linux Kernel.

Things I have done/tried:

I have read the read me/install file and tried both the Terminal insturctions (which never gets beyond asking for my SUDO password) and I tried the GUI way which works until it actually gets around to patching the kernel. Then I get an error message that merely says "Error".

According to the LUK documentation it says that it "requires" Linux kernel 2.6.23 to be able to patch.

Does anyone know if it will work with the 2.6.24 kernel Ubuntu uses now? If not anyone know where I can get the 2.6.23 kernel?

Does anyone have expereince with Linux Unified Kernel? Is it even worth the trouble?
