There were a few things in there like Pencil and Stopmotion that I hadn't heard of at that time and thought they were interesting.

I saw Wink and may start using that.

There are longer lists out there, but some of these offerings I haven't seen on an alternative list before.

Some of those alternatives can' t touch the proprietary offerings, though.
What I really miss is good blogging software that will work with the new blogger.
Drivel and livejournal are kinda meh, and Blogtk doesn't work well. I think the project has been abandoned. And, my deity of choice, how do I miss Irfan view.

Why do people always look for windows software alternatives under Linux.
Personally, I didn't start using Linux because there where windows alternatives, but because had increase in value to my computer experience.

Than again, I still use Windows on a daily basis, truth is that I can't live without Linux and I can't live without Windows*

* To be honest, ObamaMode('Yes I can');. I even can live without a computer, but I don't want to.

Why do people always look for windows software alternatives under Linux. Because there's no point in using *nix unless you can do something useful and productive with it?

It is a bit outdated, but I find this list to be a good reference. The most current list is in Russian.(unfortunately)

What sucks is Avidemux really can't hold a candle to Microsoft Movie Maker.
