Hi

Just wondering if anyone uses anti-glare / privacy filters on your screens, and your opinion on them?

Thanks,

Paul

I don't use them because I don't have any. However, I really want one.

Never even heard of them before that google search I did 1 minute ago. The "Anti-glare for LCDs", aspect seems like a crock. I suspect it's only there for plausible deniability, like Adult novelty stores who deliver courtesy of fake sporting goods stores.

Wait, you're talking about something like this (http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&q=anti-glare+privacy+filter&cid=1174474089909352893&sa=title#ps-sellers), right?

They're at the local public library, and they work very well. They basically restrict the viewing angle such that you can't see the screen over someone's shoulder.

That's great if you own a library but I highly doubt most people here would want one of these for entirely above-board purposes.

I just hate it when people look over my shoulder while I'm trying to get work done. I want one that will fit on my laptop, so I can use it in school.

Not only protecting privacy, but it is also supposed to make the computer screen easier on your eyes too right? Hence the name "anti-glare"?

Comments?

I think they make it harder to read, but maybe I've not seen a good one. I'm not really concerned about privacy of that sort.

Use one of these for my Macbook Pro at work. Keeps shoulder surfing co-workers from checking out what I am doing.
