same as above, but since i have an acer aspire 5720, note the following:

run ubuntu as live cd and check:
ethernet and wifi
all usbs
card reader
sound and resolution

should be all ok - your machine should run ubuntu. if you find it slow, try the little mouse (xubuntu) it works just fine.
