insufficent memory

Hello everyone,

I am working on an extremely old version and am running into insufficient memory errors while trying to start up the live CD is there a way that I can install xubuntu without booting the live CD?

How much RAM does it have? If you don't have enough RAM to run the LiveCD, use the alternate CD instead since it's a text based installer but should be real easy to follow.
