PUPPY LINUX HELP sorry in ubuntu forum

I cant get grub to load from hard drive i have to have the live cd in to boot then all runs fine is this unusual/normal or what? n how would i fix this? sorry i put this up on ubuntu forum

If you have Puppy linux on the hard drive, you need to install grub on the hard drive too. See this post (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=224351). Once grub is installed, you will need to create a menu.lst file to boot Puppy.
