It really annoys me how despite the fact deluge is my default torrent client, Firefox insists on using transmission.

I even un-installed every torrent client except Deluge but still no joy.

I'm not saying it's awful having to manually save then open the torrent in deluge, but it'd be nice to use this feature since it'll happily let transmission do it!

Hi,

In Firefox, click

Edit -> Preferences

then select the Applications tab, and type "torrent" (without quotes).

Click the drop-down, and click Other..., then browse to

/usr/bin/

and select and open deluge.

Hopefully this'll work!

Oh Wow! that simple!

If you never ask you never learn, so what is 'usr/bin' for? Links to applications? the 'binaries' that run the apps? I'm curious! Don't hate me!

Have a look at this page for a general Linux Filesystem Layout (http://tldp.org/LDP/intro-linux/html/sect_03_01.html).
