Hi guys and girls...

A couple of years ago I wrote some software that deals with Bluetooth on Edgy (Ubuntu 6.1). It's always worked great, but the problem was that graphics support especially widescreen resolution on Edgy was not so good.

I have recently ported over to an eeebox from Asus which has an Intel 950 GMA card. When I run Ubuntu 8.1, the resolution is brilliant (1680x1050 @ 60 which is natural for my screen). Unfortunately since the many updates to the Bluez and python packages, my software doesn't work in 8.10.

Any thoughts about how I could keep my 6.10 setup, but get the great graphics handling and screen resolutions I see in 8.10? Pretty sure the answer lies in the Xorg versions and the Intel drivers, but I'm stuck.

Any ideas, Cheers, Gaz
