Hey, I've seen everywhere (that talk about Ubuntu) that the community is strong and helpful. Well, I don't mean to question that but I'm a noob wanting some help to get his internet working on my new Ubuntu box and well, I'm not getting any. :(

Could you "wireless networking" fans out there take a look at my help thread? It seems no one (oaky, 10 views minus mine makes 9 views) care to go into my thread. ;)

Thanks everyone! :)I think you'll find that this is one of the best communities out there...I've gotten 'way more out of this forum than I've put in (I'm somewhat embarrassed to say<g>).

I, myself, am pretty well ignorant of wireless networking stuff (but ask me about DSL routers/firewalls - I just installed mine!) so I couldn't have helped in this case, anyway. And, yeah, I've had a question or two languish out here with nothing in the way of a response - then I contacted the moderator in charge of that section & asked them to move it to the "Stumper Question" category. But persevere, have some patience and I think you'll find this a nice place to visit - and helpful, as well.
