Been trying to think of something for my wife for Christmas. She just told me she wanted a PDA. I figure I can swing around $300 for one. Any suggestions? I've never used one and other than looking at specs, I don't know what's good or bad. I'd appreciate any input on what to consider.

This one looks interesting. Except the battery life seems to be in question.

Well this is the one my wife is getting for Christmas. I hope I made a good choice.

PS: Don't anybody tell her what she's getting! :)

Yup, the T5 is a good choice.Though, it was replaced by the TX, it still makes a great PDA, because of the large display, great storage space, good speed.Certainly a good choice.I hope she likes her new toy! :D

Sorry to be a party pooper, but the TX has a better battery life than the T5.

I was looking at the TX but the T5 had more memory and could use three different memory cards as opposed to just one. It also looks to come with more software. The thing I liked about the TX (besides being about $50 cheaper) was it had wireless capabilities built-in. But the memory and cards won me over. She more than likely will just use the USB cable to transfer data to her home computer.

She knocks me over sometimes. I had been thinking about a PDA for her, but thought she wouldn't find it useful, even though she's the district manager of 12 steakhouse restaurants. I about fell out of my seat when she told she wanted one. Just out of the blue. That happens a lot with us. One will be thinking one thing and then the other will just spurt out the same idea. I guess after 25 years together you start to sync up on the same mental wave length. :)

Palm is good. Palm Tungsten is good.

Whatever you do, try not to get a used or refurbished PDA.

That's all the info I can give you, but hope that info helped.

great choice :)

we have the wifi card for it, but it doesn't always work... kinda strange.. whatever you do, make sure to get the actual palm wifi card, not another one. we had bought some other brand, and couldn't get it to work.
