Puppy Linux dillemma

I've run it off of the CD, it brings up the desktop gui, I run the install from the desktop, everything completes, computer restarts, then it tries to boot from disc again, so I remove the disc and restart again, it starts booting from the hard drive, everything goes smoothly and then it says halting system, system halted.

Nothing's happening at this point, any theories?

What does it say before you get the 'halting system' error? Anything that may cause the system to halt if it failed? (Like, configuring XYZ system or something like that)
