I was wondering how to install a terminal-only version of Ubuntu? I need to use a unix platform for my programming at school, but I don't need a gui like gnome or anything like that. Can someone/anyone tell me how to install a terminal-only version, please? Thanks in advance!

One way would be to d/l and install the server version (you could skip installation of the various server packages during the installation).

The alternate or minimal CDs also allow this.
Alternate: http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/downloadmirrors#alternate
Minimal: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/MinimalCD
