Hi

For my wife's 30th birthday, I want to create a photo slideshow mixed with a musical track with transitional effect.

I've read a few threads about a command line version, but I wonder if there's a GUI version, like DVD Photo Slideshow (http://www.dvd-photo-slideshow.com/) or Photo To DVD (http://www.photo-to-dvd.com/index.html)?

Thanks

Ted

Hi Ted,

golusweet is right. MANdVD will do this, as will SMILE. You can also use KINO (a little more complicated) and Digikam - easy peasy.

DVDStyler will also make slideshows.

I knew it!! I knew there'd be something in the Linux world, and now I'm spoilt for choice. Linux - don't you just love it?

Thanks for the ideas - I'll check 'em out

Ted, i'm wondering how your project was, and am wondering as to any head up info for what program u liked best, and for what reasons. I'm about to attempt a similar project my self. Thank you in advance for any help you provide. - review of the software you tried?

You might want to try Imagination, available at:

http://imagination.sourceforge.net

I just used the version 2.0 beta to put together a fairly large slideshow (about 200 images) and it worked well.

I would love to use Imagination, but I can't get past the dependencies. I can't find gtk+-2.0 in the repos anywhere.

Anyone have an idea?

Mark.
