Hey Pastalavista thank you for your quick response, Ive acutally found this link and spent a long time on those pages when I try to follow the instructions I get the error msgs listed in my post. It may be my inexperience with Linux but, is there a certain repository that I must have configured on my machine to be abel to use the apt-get aircrack-ng if so whats the info for the repository because currently at the moment the apt get command doesnt work for aircrack -ng. Also the download still doesnt solve my issue due to the lack of instructions after the download. I appreciate all you help.

You can download a .deb package here (http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?suite=default&section=all&arch=any&searchon=names&keywords=aircrack-ng). You didn't say what your system is or what version of Ubuntu you are running. Be sure to select the right package for your machine and your distro(64 bit vs. 32). After you download the deb package, you can just double-click to install it.
