Hello all,
I recently installed 8.10 on a desktop without an internet connection, and wanted to create local repositories. Following the instructions here (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/AptGet/Offline/Repository), I added the repository directory (which I created in a new dir /home/repository) to the list of third-party locations in synaptic. When I tried get packages, though, I received:
W:failed to fetch ///file/home/repository/pool/a/blahblahblah... file not found
where pool isn't a directory in repository.
Could anyone point me in the right direction with this? I've read through the docs and previous forum threads without finding anything that, as far as I know, applies. I'd be very grateful if anyone could explain what's going on, or could point me to the thread where this came up before. Thanks kindly in advance for your time.
