I've donated many a part to Portland's Free Geek, and have picked up parts as well. AFAIK they sell computers with Ubuntu loaded onto it.

Fantastic place :)

We have something similar here called ReLectronics. It is rather small, though. Still, it provides cheap parts! :D

I also read about such an organization in Ireland (Northern Ireland, if my memory is correct). I probably read that somewhere in our forum. They also recycle computers and donate to African countries.

Sounds like a good project. NWAdog where is the one in Fayetteville? We are in Bethel Heights, and would be interested in talking to them.

Found them!!
