Remember when I posted here (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1045647) suggesting that perhaps Microsoft is turning over a new leaf?

Looks to me like Microsoft truly is turning over a new leaf. :KS

I doubt that MS is turning over a new leaf. Everything they do (as do most corporations) is about their ultimate profit, for MS to turn over a new leaf they would have to embrace OSS & simultaneously relinquish their philosophy of embrace, extend, extinguish.

They are just in it to be able to inter operate as much as possible. This is in their own best interest that's why they do it. With so many Linux servers around they need their desktop to work with it.

Handy, the same can be said about every corporation. Novell, sun, redhat, they all are in it for their ultimate profit.

Something to remember is that there are so many departments in Microsoft, one action can hardly reflect the company as a whole.

I said that too with the (as do most corporations) bit. ;-)

I don't even know what the Stonehenge Project is, and therefore I even don't think if affects me as a user at all.

IIRC Microsoft have always been fairly supportive of Apache. It's such a massively important piece of software they can't really afford not to.
