Hi
Thank you for reading my post.
If you have a WRT54G and you know how to configure it to ensure that other people can not connect to it (some password protection?) and my PDA and laptop can connect, let me know.

Thanks

This is a start:

While I don't care too much for security, my WRT54G became incredible more stable than the software bundled after installing Tomato.

I prefer dd-wrt
http://www.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv3/dd-wrt/downloads.html

find the which version of the wrt54G you have and download that firmware. Follow the documentation for install and such. Tons of features.

I am using dd-wrt as well and am quite happy with it.

I have written some tips on securing your wifi network here: WiFi Routers and Networks - Security Tips (http://www.cognitivecombine.com/?p=526)
