UK programming jobs

Whats the current jobs market like for Java programming in the uk. If you are currently employed do you feel safe? If you wanted to move positions would that be feasible.

I dont think there is a lot of movement in the job market (generally not specific to any language or skill). Basically everyone is doing the wait and see.

I have had a quick look around myself on some job sites and it appears that there are still jobs out there to be had. I think you may be correct though and people want to stay put for now.
