i just wanted to thank everyone that is willing to help out the beginners. i have been to other forums where newbs are treated with disrespect. this is by far the best forums i have ever come across. no other forum provides responses as quick as the ubuntu forums. once again thanks to all that have and are helping us newbs with basic installation and configuration problems.

I just came to ubuntu not too long ago myself, and I've looked at other distributions, but I luckily came across ubuntu's first, and am very thankful. I haven't read a bad review yet, save some elitists' disgruntlements, and have always found loads of help here and on a couple other forums.
