Hi,

I have a Motion Eye webcam, executing lsusb:

Bus 007 Device 002: ID 05ca:183d Ricoh Co., Ltd

My Laptop is Sony Vaio VGN-FM11M, using Ubuntu 8.04. When I run Skype, Kopete or any other KDE app Webcam is working properly. When I try to run "Camorama" I get: "Could not connect to video device (/dev/video0)" or when I execute gqcam: "/dev/video: No such file or directory", either Softphone Ekiga or xawtv works.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I post you 2 snapshots with further information from the device manager of each desktop.

Any help will be appreciated!
