I got a disk from a friend with ubutu 3.0 and I just downloaded 8.10 but I don't have a cd burner... do I need to burn the disk to upgrade to ubuntu 8.10???

Are you trying to upgrade or do a clean install of 8.10? If you are wanting to upgrade what is your current Ubuntu release eg. 7.10, 8.04...?

sorry, I'm not that good with computers.... I already had the version I wanted... thanx for the help...
