Hi Folks,
8.04 installs, 8.10 does not !
Target system: AMD64x4(9600), Nvidia8400, 5gig RAM, Award BIOS 6.00 rev 5.13.
Errormsgs (that stay long enought to read): e820 RAM, enable iommu no aperture stuff...

Tried F6 from the LiveCD bootmenu, added iommu=noaperture and got a live user session but no install.

Installed 8.10 on an older laptop [AMD64x1(4000+), 2gigRAM, ATI radion 200] smooth...

Anything to try ? From the 8.10 LiveCD bootmenu ?
(don't want to try 8.04 and then upgrade!)

Burn a new CD:

Try the Alternate CD

You're saying the Live CD won't boot?

Assuming the CD is a good burn, probably it's that Nvidia card. Try these boot options (one at a time):

xforcevesa

vga=837
