Kubuntu is better than Ubuntu for web design-develop/internet apps, has more such ?
From the Ubuntu free cdrom if I make a usb stick bootable how much space it will take ?
It will be included additional apps than live cd offers to usb stick at creation ?
May I add Apps to stick and after transfer to DL DVD R ?
PCs not support boot from usb drive needed special boot cd ?

Hello lse123,

1) Ubuntu and Kubuntu have exactly the same "repository," or library, of installable applications.
2) It should fit on a 1gb usb stick minimum.
3) 8.10 "Create a startup USB" has an option to make the usb stick "persistent" which means you can install applications. If you make a non-persistent USB stick, it is like a Live CD--reboot and you lose all changes.
4) Remastersys is a good application to burn a custom Ubuntu CD/DVD.
5) Older PCs do not support boot from USB.

1. It is all about what YOU feel about that. In my opinion it is not!
2. If you don't install anything extra, most likely about 700mb
3. Depends, if you install anything extra...yes
4. If it is a DVD-RW or CD-RW baybe you can. It is however very hard to do!
5. All computers with a USB should be able to launch the live USB. You might have to change some options in the BIOS
6. Whare may be found?..what?
