Hi All

I have try unsuccessfully to install limewire software, on my Ubuntu 8.04 version. Now my update manager, will not allow any update.

The error message each try I try to update is "E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg -- configure -a' tp correct the problem". And then
E: cache --7 open() failed, please report.

Can anyone please Help or how can fix this problem.

Did you try running the given command:

dpkg --configure -a
in terminal first? It could fix this problem.

or may be

sudo dpkg --configure -a

Yes it can, but frostwire (http://www.frostwire.com/) is probably better to use.
