I recently attempted to transfer some music files between computers through a DVD (burned with the nautilus burn app). There were transfer errors with some files in one of the folders on the disk, but I just skipped those and the transfer finished minus a few files. Through Rhythmbox, I tried to open the folder to play some of the music, but it crashed every time trying to open. Going back into the folder, I see that the Music folder is completely empty. On top of that, in the root directory, only Lost+Found, vmlinuxz.old, and cdrom folders are present. There is no visible change to my home folder and all the files are visible through the command line (ls). They are also visible in the Thunar file manager.
So my question is, why can I not see all these files and how do I fix the problem?
