I have recently just went back to ubuntu after being on windows i have Ubuntu 8.10 and it is even better than windows *so far* but now im looking to get my Motorola i335 working on here. I had it with windows but its gone so im looking for a way on here to do it. All im looking to do is to upload ringtones, backgrounds, and maby games too it that it all. The phone is by boost mobile. I am connecting it via USB. Any help here is GREATLY appreciated. and it can save some money. Thanks IN way advance!!!:KS

ok i got some leway but not enough. I found a program called moto4lin installed it and ipened it. Told it to use the 1d6b and the vendor 0001 it seems to work but it wont connect.

I would really not want to go back to windows to just get my phone to work..

Hey Bud,

Sorry to disappoint here.

But drivers for this phone are not available for any OS Period (as of march 27 09)

This is a relativelly new phone in the market and Motorola has not released the drivers yet.

I actually found this post while goggling for the drivers.

I have Motorola phone tools installed on my windozer box and it doesn't even recognize it (Motorola phone tools is Motorola's paid software to connect your Windows to your phone) and i was actually hoping that ubuntu was going to save my behind since i also own a ubuntu server :S ....

I guess well just have to wait for the next release. You can also find another way in Howards forums.
