HP Pavilion ze4300 laptop installation

I downloaded and burned an ISO of xubuntu. I have heard all kind of bad about getting an hp pavilion ze4300 laptop working with pretty much any flavor of Linux. I inserted my xubuntu into the dvd drive and rebooted. To my astonishment it appears my laptop is working fully on the xubuntu live cd. If I choose to install to the HDD could I expect all to be working upon completion and reboot or is there still a possibility of hardware issues?
If it continues to operate as it does using the live cd I'll be ecstatic.

If you tested your hardware with the LiveCD and everything seemed to work, then Ubuntu be fine once it is installed. :)

Cool. I will install over MS XP and use xubuntu as my only OS. Thanks again for the help.
