Howdy folks. Ive been using Slackware for eight years and loved every minute of it....however recently my partner said to me - why cant I use your pc? - and I didnt have an appropriate answer because my machine was so hacked, there was never gonna be a way she (******* slave) could ever utilise my Command Line interface...so I thought I would throw Ubuntu on my machine and whaddaya know....Ive since removed Slack altogether and the two of us can use my Box in completely different ways, through Gnome (for her) and Terminal for me.

Ubuntu seems to have been built on stability and still offers Bleeding edge stuff as well....I love it.

w00t

Welcome. Stability on the desktop, bleeding edge packages, and harmony in the relationship...the true meaning of Ubuntu.
