I'm going to install Kubuntu for a friend and he plays some MMOS like Ragnarok Online, WoW and some other games. I'm pretty sure you can't play WoW natively on Linux but what about other games like Ragnarok? Are there Linux clients for this game? What about other MMOS?

ragnarok does not work with wine.you can check appdb.winehq.org if the game can run or not with wine.Do a dual boot for ragnarok if you want to play it

WoW works pretty poor on ATI cards + wine, apparently.

Eve online is not really native. It is run on Crossover (I think) but everything is set up at same time (crossover + eve) and it runs quite well.

Contrary to the wine appdb, Ragnarok works very well in wine.

If your friend can handle text-based, almost any MUD will be playable natively from Linux (since you can play almost any of them using telnet).

I'm also a mud player. Not much into graphical MMOs but planeshift has very impressive graphics.
