View Full Version : [ubuntu] Problem booting

I have a toshiba satellite laptop with a 1.60 ghz processor.

I have installed ubuntu with the 15 gb option selected.

when i either try to boot from cd or from my disk drive it will work fine until the bar on the screen started to fill up. It will go about 1/9 of the way and then will stop. I have waited hours and nothing has happened.

My computer passed the memory test and the disk authenticator. The MD5SUM check is also sucessful.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!

Go to Applications/Accessories/Terminal.

From the terminal type

sudo fdisk -l

Post the results.
