I have recently installed Hardy (8.04) and had a lot of problems getting the graphics to work. I eventually cracked it by installing the NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver for legacy cards (nvidia-glx-legacy). However, even after installing this I am only able to use a maximum screen resolution of 800 x 600 which is a nightmare.

The graphics card is an old GeForce Pro card and I know it and the monitor will supply up to 1600 x 1200 in Windows.

Any ideas how I can improve the resolution?

Thanks
Wayne
